CBS Digital Expansion

Cycle 4 will see the launch of the digital dPod format in the Pavilions Shopping Centre in Swords, Co Dublin. The CBS Outdoor format was first seen last spring in the Dundrum Town Centre and has been a huge success. Digital has really taken off in Ireland in recent years and CBS now has a major presence in Dundrum, Swords and the Square, Tallaght. The Swords venture will feature 20 screens in 10 locations at key points throughout the centre.

Flexibility within the digital ooh environment is essential as it provides greater opportunities in reaching your target audience within specific time segments during the day. Digital ooh centre has been working closely with a number of media owners to make it more flexible for advertisers to utilize digital ooh formats. As a result, we are pleased to be able to introduce the below flexible deals on both the Centra TV and Convenience Store Screen Networks.

 

It is now possible to buy these formats in a range of different packs.

Currently there are 100 Convenience Store Screen locations in the likes of Spar, Londis, and Centra etc. There are also 90 Centra TV locations with a total of 215 screens. This gives the advertiser a combined network of 315 screens nationwide, with an estimated footfall in excess of 1.1 million people per week. Advertising slots on these screens are typically 10 second in length. The use of audio is not recommended.

Some details...

The ad space is located directly behind each shop counter.

There are two static formats - Header Boards and Retail Machines which can be bought together or separately.

CBS Extends Digital Presence to Dundrum

CBS Outdoor has signed an advertising partnership agreement with Dundrum Town Centre that will see the media company install and market Ireland's largest dedicated digital advertising network in the country's biggest shopping mall.

For this new media format, CBS Outdoor has commissioned an architecturally designed Pod structure, which complements the internal environment of the mall and is unique to Dundrum Town Centre. Each Pod will house High Definition LCD screens, which have the capacity to run a huge array of digital advertising content.

Big Screen @ Dundrum

CBS are selling space on the big screen in Dundrum Town Centre which coming up to Christmas Shopping period will be packed with shoppers.

Dundrum has over 15 million visitors per annum with premium stores and an audience coupled with Movies @ Dundrum and numerous restaurants.

The screen is located overlooking Level 3 and Central Square. We can offer blocks of 10 second spots or a 30 second spot or a 60 second spot. The size is 196 Sq foot.

The 60 second loop of advertising is played every ten minutes. 30 second spots with audio are available for 1,500 Euro for 2 weeks. There would be no production cost if an existing trailer / TV ad is used.

Bravo Outdoor gets Interactive

Large format digital screens incorporating uploaded user content are coming to Dublin's City Centre this winter. The displays measuring 5m x 3m will be erected on the capital's two main shopping thoroughfares Henry Street and Grafton Street/Stephens Green.

There are six advertiser packs of 5 x 30 sec ads per hour across 2 screens amounting to 4,200 spots over 10 weeks based on broadcasting 12 hours daily.

The average daily footfall for each of Grafton Street and Henry Street is between 130-150,000, rising during the key pre-Christmas period. (Source: Dublin City Business Association).

T2 ready for take off

The DAA has announced details and rates for advertising sites in T2 ahead of its launch this month. The rates are based on the terminal being fully operational, which is expected from 1st Jan 2011 onwards. T2 will be the Flagship Gateway to Ireland.

Three storeys covering 75,000 sq metres designed to cater for 12-15 million passengers per annum. T2 airlines will be Aer Lingus, Etihad & North American carriers. ESB uses Pedal Power at this year's Picnic

ESB and Electric Picnic joined forces to drive energy efficiency at this year's festival. As the official sustainability partner of Electric Picnic, they wanted to build on reducing the festival's lighting emissions by 20% in 2009 by encouraging as many Picnic-goers as possible to get in an energy-saving frame of mind.

The ESB Picnic Power Stage played host to the revolutionary spectacle of a "Showeraoke" electric shower - powered by bicycle!

ESB Picnic Power was situated in the Main Arena at the Electric Picnic while highlights of the Picnic Power Shower Shows were broadcast on digital Transvision screens in Heuston station, Connolly station, Pearse Street station and Busaras over the weekend of the Electric Picnic.

A group of Iraq War veterans have been spotted in Dublin this week. Traveling in distinctive black and red Smart Cars they are allegedly looking to clear their name with the U.S. military, who suspect the four men of committing a crime they did not commit.

Outdoor Pavement Graphics in petrol station forecourts nationwide have been launched to the market by Visualise. They are available in Texaco, Tesco & Maxol petrol station forecourts which have a mix of Mace, Spar and Centra stores totaling 97 outlets.

The graphics are available in A0 size and run in four week cycles. Over the past number of years, petrol traders have invested large sums in their forecourt stores with sit-down cafe facilities, 24 hour opening, fresh food, coffee, deli counters, ATM machines, internet access and beer & wine sales.

Visualise Digital launches with Convenience store network

The digital network will target the convenience store market and will consist of two 19'' Amscreen digital screens placed behind the counter, right at the point of purchase in 100 convenience stores.

Included in the network are a number of Spar, Centra, Londis, Mace and Bus Stop convenience stores with a number of key sites in high footfall city centre areas areas such as, Grafton St, O'Connell St, Westmoreland St, Dame St, Baggot St and Camden St.

75% of the initial screens will be Dublin based with the remaining screens in Galway, Cork and Limerick.

Tests conducted on the Amscreen forecourt convenience store network in the UK saw sales uplift figures of up to 36% for advertised brands.
