Clear Channel Play comes to Dublin


Clear Channel have installed their first digital screens here at Westend Shopping Park – Blanchardstown. The network comprises 6 X 70’HD Screens which support static, basic motion or HD video while there are flexible creative, day part & short term opportunities. Globally Clear Channel have 5,200 screens in 23 Countries including the Castlecourt and Abbey Centres in Northern Ireland.

Westend Shopping Park has become known as Ireland's first Shopping Park with over 25 stores across fashion, home, leisure, sport and lifestyle. It is home to many top brands such as Next, Heatons, New Look, Argos, Lidl, McQuillan's, GAP, Nike, Dealz, Petstop, Pavers, Laura Ashley, Baby Elegence, Mountain Warehouse, Champions Sports, KFC, Costa and Three. Aerpods come to dublin airport


Digital advertising is arriving into Dublin Airport from September 2015. 62 digital screens, called AerPods, have been installed throughout T1 and T2 and are available to book from cycle 19 onwards. The AerPods are 70” and will run 6 x 10 seconds ads per screen per minute.

The AerPods allow advertisers to target arriving and departing passengers in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. An ideal way to deliver animated dynamic content to an audience on the move.

Exterion Media introduce Commuter dPods


Following their expansion to some of Ireland's largest malls, Exterion Media is bringing 32 Commuter dPods to 19 transport hubs nationwide. There will be a 60” loop – 6 x 10” spots with a range of packs by region and daypart along with line by line slots available. Available from cycle 23 (3rd November).

Eleven DART stations are covered including Connolly, Tara Street and Pearse along with  Malahide, Howth and Clontarf Road on the northside and Grand Canal Dock, Lansdowne Road, Blackrock, Dun Laoghaire and Bray to the south. Elsewhere on the national rail network dPods will be installed in Kent Station Cork, Limerick Colbert, Galway and Maynooth. The bus network is covered by Busáras, Parnell Bus Station in Cork and Waterford.

New digital Pharmacy Network launched


PharmaNet is the latest digital OOH advertising network to hit the market and is now available. The nationwide network of screens is managed by Focal Media and as its name suggests the network consists of digital screens, located in over 20 pharmacies.

PharmaNet will show a mixture of product ads, advertorials and general health and wellbeing messages. The digital signage will be displayed on state of the art digital screen software and HD LED screens. The Network is centrally managed and maintained, with content updated overnight via a shared high-speed broadband connection.

Due to the strategic placement of the digital screens, PharmaNet helps increase sales and reduces perceived waiting times, enhancing the look and feel of the store and the overall customer experience.

Adman walking


Acorn Media are introducing an exciting new outdoor advertising format, Adman Walking.

Adman Walking are portable and movable LED signboards. The have a built in high power LED display and are battery operated with a running time of seven hours. Adman Walking also have a four-sided open design, making them convenient for picture changing.

Adman Walking have recently been used to promote the reopening of HMV on Grafton St and similar products have been used abroad as part of promotions at point of purchase and outdoor campaigns.

This new OOH medium offers companies the opportunity to get their messages moving and theirs brands in busy pedestrian areas. Adman Walking Brand Ambassadors can advertise anywhere, e.g. stores, streets, shopping centres and festivals to name a few.

AIB A2 Panels in dublin restaurants


AIB have recently featured on A2 restaurant panels as part of their multi format AIB Me2U OOH campaign.

AIB Me2U is a new mobile phone App which allows users to transfer funds from one person to another via mobile phone. The App is particularly useful when splitting a restaurant bill between friends and the restaurant panels, combined with the pizza creative, are an ideal way reach the target audience in outlets such as the Rustic Stone and Eden.

Mobile Media at The Gum Litter Task Force Launch


Mobile media formats featured heavily at the launch of The Gum Litter Task Force on St. Stephen’s Green recently.

A mix of Eco Cabs and Adtowers provided the backdrop for a photo shoot with the Dublin’s Lord Mayor, Óisin Quinn. The campaign significantly added to the on street presence of the campaign in a very colourful way.

This campaign was planned by MediaVest and PML. Focus Advertising are behind the creative work.

The offering is currently on test but it likely to come into its own at the back end of the year.

This eye level illuminated medium is an excellent way of targeting key urban city centre location. To date the medium has been very popular with youth orientated products such as fashion, music and entertainment.
